This workshop will be focused on detecting testing and rapidly diagnosing Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia a paradoxical and potentially devastating adverse drug reaction to heparin caused by the emergence of antibodies. The current management of HIT in US hospitals will also be discussed including the costs of HIT management.
