The need for understanding the social/cultural context of the client is critical to formulating an accurate diagnosis and designing effective intervention. This training is intended to heighten the mental health clinician's awareness of an individual's unique social and cultural aspects and increase their ability to use this information in the formulation of a diagnosis and treatment plan for intervention.
