Course overview
Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) is one of the most distressing and debilitating adverse effects of chemotherapy and can affect 60% to 80% of patients undergoing chemotherapy. Although there are effective treatment options, many clinicians overestimate the effectiveness of antiemetic prophylaxis, resulting in patients not achieving adequate protection against CINV. Managed care professionals require proper training and foundational knowledge on CINV to appropriately provide patients with affordable and efficacious options that can improve their quality of life.
