Course overview

The goal of the session is to share an example of one organizations journey in using a primarily centralized phlebotomy that includes some nursing collection. To maintain quality of specimen collection, the laboratory has partnered with nursing to train nursing staff in phlebotomy for selected areas of the hospital. This has strengthened the relationship between lab and nursing and specimen rejection rates have decreased.
