Course overview

This course is a form of massage therapy that teaches participants to safely release fascial and muscular tension in the body, and thereby improving nerve flow and joint ROM. Physical assessments refers to postural problems and corrections working with myofascia in movement. This course is for the upper body to safely learn myofascial techniques for working with head, neck, shoulder girdle, chest and myofascia affecting the brachial nerve plexus. Restrictions in the soft tissue are addressed with hands-on techniques by the therapist in synergy with active movement by the client. This style of work teaches massage therapists how to conserve energy and use safe body mechanics, utilizing gravity and leverage, and is within the scope of practice for massage therapists.
