Nurse Remedial Course

Course overview

The Nursing Remedial/Refresher Course is a theory and clinical experience designed to assist the student in applying the nursing process and other essential skills to the care of clients experiencing common health alterations. The course focuses on the nurse attempting to pass the NCLEX and/or the nurse who desires to refresh his/her skills and knowledge. Clinical emphasis is placed on the management of clients in both acute and long-term care. Students are required to complete all components of this course. This course is 96 hours didactic and 80 hours clinical component. This course includes the following education: General Education 10 hours Prevention of Medical Errors 2.0 hours HIV/AIDS 1.0 hours Recognizing Impairment in the Work Place 2.0 hours Domestic Violence 2.0 hours
