This course examines behavioral health treatment for major racial and ethic groups. It includes: Counseling for African and Black Americans. Counseling for Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and other Pacific Islanders, counseling for Hispanics and Latinos, counseling for Native Americans, and counseling for White Americans. Within each section for race/ethnicity is substance use, co-occurring mental health disorders, treatment patterns, beliefs and attitudes about treatment, treatment issues and considerations, theoretical approaches and interventions, and modes of therapy.
