Creating an Infection Prevention Safety Plan for Your Clinic

Course overview

Healthcare providers and clinics must have a comprehensive infection prevention plan in place in order to keep their employees, patients, and communities safe. This course will provide participants with the information and tools they need to create their own infection safety plan for their workplaces. Licensed Acupuncturist, Alexa Hulsey is the owner of Encircle Acupuncture, a high-volume community acupuncture clinic with two locations in Nashville, TN. She and her team have safely provided over 15,000 treatments and counting during a pandemic. This course will discuss the five pillars of community safety, which are critical to provide continuity of care during a pandemic, and will continue to be so in post-pandemic life. Participants will learn the key elements of an infection prevention safety plan, gain the skills and confidence to create their own plan, understand and execute patient safety protocols, and implement facility safety plans and procedures.
