There will be approximately 1 million ankle injuries this year alone. A third to two thirds of those injuries will experience continued problems or repeat injuries. Are we doing enough to help them? Are we missing the differential diagnosis and instead just treating an average ankle sprain? What role could prevention play? Mark Flinders, PT, ATC, SCS will guide you through the process of doing an effective evaluation and differentiating between causes and appropriate treatment for foot and ankle injuries. This course will help you: -Understand the ankle/foot anatomy -Understand the common injuries seen for the ankle/foot joints -Understand the examination and treatment strategies for treating common ankle and foot injuries -Understand the role of taping in helping correct biomechanics and assisting in injury recovery for the ankle/foot joints -Understand and apply simple ankle/foot taping procedures that will be immediately useful in the clinic
