Course overview

This course addresses the essential information that every nurse should be aware of to prevent medical errors, including medication errors, central-line associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI), ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP), falls and immobility events, obstetrical adverse events, venous thromboembolism, pressure ulcers, and surgical site infections. Medical errors can have serious effects for patients and the nurses involved in their care.
