Preventing Marijuana Use - Women and Pregnancy

Course overview

Evidence suggests that the concerns of women about how substances will affect the developing fetus can motivate them to reduce or abstain from substances during pregnancy. This CE course examines the scientific literature on the risk factors for and adverse health consequences of marijuana use during pregnancy along with emerging and best practices to prevent or reduce such use, and identifies key components of peer-reviewed models and discusses the challenges and strategies involved in implementing prevention programs.
