PROCTITIS IS INFLAMMATION OF THE RECTAL MUCOSA, DISTAL TO THE RECTOSIGMOID JUNCTION, WITHIN 18 CM OF THE ANAL VERGE. ANUSITIS IS INFLAMMATION OF THE LINING OF THE ANAL CANAL. ANUSITIS IS A COMMON DISORDER THAT IS OFTEN MISDIAGNOSED AS HEMORRHOIDS.
