HYPERAMYLASEMIA REFERS TO ELEVATED LEVELS OF SERUM AMYLASE. IT IS MOST COMMONLY OBSERVED AND EVALUATED IN PATIENTS WITH ACUTE PANCREATITIS TO CONFIRM THE DIAGNOSIS. HYPERAMYLASEMIA MAY ALSO BE ASSOCIATED WITH A WIDE RANGE OF DIAGNOSES. THIS ACTIVITY REVIEWS THE EVALUATION AND MANAGEMENT OF HYPERAMYLASEMIA AND HIGHLIGHTS THE ROLE OF AN INTERPROFESSIONAL CARE TEAM IN APPROPRIATELY DIAGNOSING PATIENTS WITH THIS CONDITION AND TREATING THE CAUSES.
