DERMABRASION INVOLVES THE USE OF ABRASIVE MATERIALS TO INDUCE EPIDERMAL AND DERMAL INJURY, RESULTING IN THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE APPEARANCE OF THE SKIN FOLLOWING WOUND HEALING. THIS ACTIVITY REVIEWS THE TECHNIQUE, INDICATIONS, AND CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR THE PROCEDURE AND HIGHLIGHTS THE ROLE OF THE INTERPROFESSIONAL TEAM IN EVALUATING AND TREATING PATIENTS WHO UNDERGO DERMABRASION.
