POLYMORPHIC LIGHT ERUPTION IS THE MOST COMMON FORM OF IMMUNOLOGICALLY MEDIATED PHOTOSENSITIVITY DERMATOSES. EXPOSURE TO SUNLIGHT IN SPRING OR SUMMER RESULTS IN AN IRRITABLE RASH THAT RESOLVES WITHIN A FEW DAYS, PROVIDING FURTHER EXPOSURE IS AVOIDED.
