REACTIVE PERFORATING COLLAGENOSIS IS A FORM OF PRIMARY PERFORATING DERMATOSIS. IT IS A RARE SKIN DISEASE IN WHICH THERE IS CHARACTERISTIC TRANSEPIDERMAL ELIMINATION OF ALTERED COLLAGEN VIA THE EPIDERMIS. IT RESULTS FROM A VERY RARE, INHERITED CHILDHOOD-ONSET FORM OR AN ACQUIRED ADULT-ONSET FORM THAT IS MORE COMMON IN PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS OR END-STAGE RENAL DISEASE.
