Course overview

Over the course of the session, professionals will understand the challenges trans and gender expansive youth face during childhood and adolescent development. Professionals will learn the therapeutic needs of trans youth and competent treatment of gender dysphoria. Differential diagnosis and comorbid diagnoses for case conceptualization will also be utilized to illustrate the complex experience of trans youth. Suggestions for creating a safe and inclusive environment for in-person practices will be given, as well as addressing telehealth needs for trans youth clients.
