Based on the book "Learning to Love Differently: A Healing Pathway for Families of Addicts" by Candace Hartzler, MA, LICDC, participants will gain insight into the challenge and dynamics of families impacted by substance use disorders, including the detailed circular connection between the addict and codependent family members. Clinical vignettes will illustrate both failures and successes as loved ones learn to separate the addict's pain from their own. This course encompasses practical and effective approaches to healing the family unit.
