Introducing PDPM Schedule Changes and Transition

Course overview

The Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM), effective, October 1, 2019 will improve payments through the skilled nursing facility prospective payment system (SNF PPS). This educational activity will allow the participant to understand the transition from RUGS IV to PDPM, benefits of PDPM, optional and required assessments under PDPM, variable per diem adjustments, and the interrupted stay policy. These topics will help the participant understand how to prepare for implementing the payment system and identify potential impacts on their facility.
