Course overview

This course examines adapting criminal offender substance abuse treatment for specific populations. It includes: treatment issues related to cultural minorities, women's treatment issues, men's treatment issues, working with violent offenders, treatment issues based on the client's sexual orientation, cognitive/learning, physical and sensory disabilities, older adults, clients from rural area, people with co-occurring substance use and mental disorders, people with infectious diseases, sex offenders as well as conclusions and recommendations.
