Course overview

This course is designed to increase awareness among health care professionals of the prevalence of domestic violence, the categories of domestic violence that they may encounter in their practice, how to recognize the signs of domestic violence, and their obligations for reporting known or suspected domestic violence. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Continuing Education Company, Inc. (CEC) and AchieveCE. Continuing Education Company, Inc. (CEC) is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

LMU-DCOM designates this program for a maximum of 2.0 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.
