Course overview

Myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) affects an estimated 836,000 to 2.5 million adults in the U.S. It can result in a constellation of debilitating symptoms, including severe fatigue, pain, sleep disturbances, and cognitive problems. Fewer than 10% of people who meet the strict case definition criteria have been diagnosed and treated by a healthcare professional. The goal of this course is to equip nurses and physicians with knowledge of the biopsychosocial impact of ME/CFS, along with symptoms, and management interventions.
