Course overview

Sexual harassment is a form of sex discrimination that violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Title VII applies to employers with 15 or more employees, including state and local governments. It also applies to employment agencies and to labor organizations, as well as to the federal government. This course outlines the basic law pertaining to sexual harassment and provides practical advice to help recognize, and prevent harassment in the workplace. This 2-hour training course guides supervisors through key federal discrimination and sexual harassment laws, relates these laws to everyday workplace behavior, and provides the legal definitions of discrimination and harassment. Managers and supervisors must be aware of their responsibilities and accountability for sexual harassment in the workplace. This includes learning to recognize harassment and the appropriate corrective actions to take in the event of an occurrence.
