The purpose of this course is to familiarize the learner with heart failure (congestive heart failure). The anatomy and function of a normal heart, and changes that occur because of heart failure are presented. Information is provided on the disease process, causes, and symptoms of heart failure. This course engages learners in content about the normal heart and diagnostic procedures, medication use, and lifestyle changes that occur with heart failure.
