Understand the danger of pyrogenic contamination and apply ways to measure and remove endotoxin. 2. Recognize sources of bioburden and select standard or new rapid microbial methods for detection of bioburden. 3. Revise pharmacy procedures to address new pharmacopeial directives for endotoxin and microbial tests. NOTE: An annual subscription for Purdue's nuclear pharmacy re-certification program provides access to both the continuing education component of the program and the "Radiopharmacy Portal" a reference resource for practitioners. Subscriptions to the continuing educational offerings, which have been accredited through ACPE and BPS, can be purchased for an annual fee of $195 for nuclear pharmacists and $95 for nuclear pharmacy technicians.
