Tracking # 20-773566
Course overview
This webinar series is for the serious practitioner of orthopedic and sports acupuncture. Course 5 describes treatment protocols for common injuries, with emphasis on diagnosis and assessment. The material is the integration of traditional Chinese acupuncture with western orthopedic medicine. Course 5 presents The Triad, and the postural and stabilizing aspects of three important anatomical structures: (1) The Gluteus medius. The gluteus medius stabilizes the pelvis, and has referral pain patterns in the lumbo-sacral region. (2) The Quadratus lumborum. This muscle is involved in virtually all cases of back pain. (3) The Sacral-iliac joint. Often a cause of pain, palpation of the SI joint is key to diagnosis.
