Course overview

This webinar series is for the serious practitioner of orthopedic and sports acupuncture. Course 7 describes treatment protocols for common injuries, with emphasis on diagnosis and assessment. This material is the integration of traditional Chinese acupuncture with western orthopedic and sports medicine. Course 7 begins with an introduction to sports acupuncture and biomechanical causes of injury. It continues: (1) The Gluteus medius. The gluteus medius stabilizes the pelvis and may contribute to lower extremity repetitive stress injures. (2) Runners knee. Ilio-tibial band syndrome is common in athletes, and is easy to treat.
