Dementia Care: Supporting Families

Course overview

Caring for a person with dementia requires a special set of skills and knowledge to provide high quality care. In this course, you will learn about dementia. You will also explore the impact of dementia on the family and learn ways to help them manage the challenges dementia can create. The goal of this educational program is to provide non-licensed direct care professionals in any setting with knowledge of the challenges that family members face when their loved one has dementia and ways to cope with those challenges.
