The 3 D's: Delirium, Dementia, and Depression

Course overview

Delirium, dementia, and depression, or the three Ds, are common diagnoses seen in older adults. The signs and symptoms of these conditions may overlap, making it difficult to distinguish between them. This course discusses the similarities and the differences between delirium, dementia, and depression. It also discusses what your role is in the management of the three Ds. Without quick identification and management of these conditions, an older adults quality of life will be impacted. The goal of this course is to educate direct care workers in post-acute care settings on delirium, dementia, and depression.
