Diagnosis and Management of Tic Borne Illness - 3 Contact Hours

Course overview

This course will review the epidemiology, etiology, clinical presentation, workup, and management of three tick-borne conditions increasing in prevalence around the United States: Lyme disease, Powassan virus, and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. This course will help readers distinguish between these tick-borne diseases and viral illness or erythematous rashes. Additionally, the course will review post-Lyme disease syndrome, treatment of Lyme disease coinfections, and prevention of tick attachment.
