A two day workshop to meet the Florida regulatory requirements (*F.A.C. 64B4-6.0025 effective 2/1/2000) providing 12 CE for licensed mental health professionals who provide supervision to candidates for Florida Statute 491 mental health licenses, and for any others who wish to enhance supervision skills in professional practice. As of 11/2020 the Florida Board has temporarily approved the presentation of this class through live interactive virtual classroom. A thorough discussion of five dynamics of supervision is presented. Special issues including context, culture, gender, race, class, financial, legal and ethical considerations will be discussed including literature reviews and study findings. This program is additionally useful for any counseling professional who supervises staff that provides counseling in mental health, substance abuse, criminal justice, and domestic violence settings.
