Course overview

Trainer/Presenter: Maureen Kishna, MST Expert and Program Developer, LISW-S; Case Western Reserve University- Center for Innovative Practices This workshop will provide participants with an understanding of why MST is identified as well supported treatment as part of our federal Family First Prevention Services Act, and is part of Ohio's Phase 1 implementation of our state-wide transformation for behavioral health care for children. An overview of MST's treatment approach will be presented so that participants understand the program, and can support implementation in their communities. They will know which youth may best benefit from this home and community-based intensive treatment for adolescents, including those who are at risk of out of home placement due to behavioral issues. They will have the opportunity to apply what they learned to a sample case.
