Course overview
The purpose of this course is to help people better understand themselves and their behaviors. It functions as a tool to help participants develop greater self-awareness and awareness of others. The MBTI creates a deeper understanding and constructive use of the behavioral differences between people. The MBTI will provide participants with insights on how they process information and make decisions with that information as well as how they perceive and interact with their surrounding environment. These factors affect individual personalities and behaviors which shape our preferences in how we want to experience the world around us. This course and pre-course assessment will reveal participants' personality types and allow self-reflection into their own behaviors and the behaviors of others. This increased awareness establishes and fosters improved and more effective work relationships. Upon completion of this course, participants are able to: 1) Assess their personality preferences using the MBTI model. 2) Apply MBTI theory to develop leadership and management skills. 3) Describe the basic preferences of four dichotomies of MBTI. 4) Manage their employee and/or coworker relationships more effectively.
