Live/Hands On- ZOOM format - In this advanced course we closely examine the dimensions of transference, countertransference and projection through the lens of nervous system functioning. Students will be invited to reflect on the personal, professional and psychological challenges of administering to others in an intimate, vulnerable and relatively non-verbal setting. Lecture content will include an in-depth look at autonomic nervous system function, emphasizing the influence of the Vagus nerve as outlined in Dr. Stephen Porges Polyvagal Theory.
