Human resource (HR) management is the management of people working in an organization. It focuses on the management of human resources, as distinguished from financial or material resources. This course will introduce the basic issues of human resources administration, including legal duties, proper business ethics, and social responsibilities. The legal responsibilities and rights of the employer and employee will further be explained, as well as privacy, confidentiality, and disclosure issues in the workplace. The goal of this course is to provide HR professionals and managers with an overview of HR responsibilities.
