Learner Objectives 1. To summarize what medical devices would optimally be available for hyperbaric use. 2. To outline what is best practice regarding hyperbaric medical devices. 3. To identify systems and discuss potential ways moving forward. 4. To learn the most significant opportunities for improvement that are related to operational issues identified in the UHMS Hyperbaric Facility Accreditation Program. 5. To learn the most significant opportunities for improvement that are related to safety issues identified in the UHMS Hyperbaric Facility Accreditation Program. 6. Identify scenarios where failure to maintain situation awareness, e.g. distractions will adversely affect patient safety. 7. List human factors that adversely affect patient safety and how to mitigate those risk factors. 8. Recognize high-risk industries and how their management of risk has led to successes and failures. 9. Understand how human action (and human error) relate to the workplace system. 10. Teaching Methods: Video lectures with PPT embedded, Panel Sessions, Evaluation quiz after each lesson. Evaluation Methods: Evaluation is offered online through UHMS website, which evaluates the effectiveness of the meeting, speakers and that no bias was presented and overall objectives were met.
