Cardiac Assessment: Nursing

Course overview

Nurses working with older adults need to be competent in performing a targeted cardiac assessment and be familiar with associated nursing interventions to manage cardiac problems. This educational activity covers a review of the anatomy and physiology of the heart targeted assessment of the cardiovascular system, cardiac complications, diagnostics, and treatment as well as communicating findings to the healthcare team. This course is appropriate for review or remediation use.
