Exercise and Fall Prevention in Seniors
Tracking # 20-779462
Course overview
Over one quarter of adults over age 65 fall each year, contributing to nearly three million emergency department visits. A person who experiences a fall will demonstrate a greater functional decline in activities of daily living and in physical and social activities than people who do not fall. Exercise has been proven to reduce fall risk, but there are many methods and dosages of exercise, not all of which are equally effective.
