To utilize the definition of Domestic Violence in order to facilitate domestic violence identification and intervention. To facilitate Mental Health Practitioner recognition of professional responsibility with regard to Domestic Violence. To facilitate understanding and recognition of the cycle of violence and the impact of Domestic Violence on children and families. To educate the Mental Health Practitioner on why Domestic Violence victims do not immediately leave their abusers
