COMMUNICATION WITH COGNITIVELY IMPAIRED CLIENTS

Course overview

This initial two hour home study review course is developed for the healthcare provider including all Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and or Home Health Aides (HHA) that assist the patients in the home or in an Adult Living facility with cognitively impaired persons. The student should be able to identify cognitively impaired persons the process of the impaired and the situation surrounding the impairment, including but not limited to medical records vital signs and other important information that will aid in the proper care and treatment of the patient.
