Course overview

Urinary and fecal incontinence affect many adults worldwide. Even though they are common, many people do not realize there are conservative ways to manage these conditions and that physical or occupational therapy can help. Maintaining urinary and fecal continence relies on a complex interaction of various body systems. This course will give a basic understanding of the physiology and anatomy of continence. It will also delve into rehabilitation assessment and conservative management of incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction.
