Course overview

In this one-hour audio course, we will define terminology used to describe LGBTQ individuals, identify three barriers to health for LGBTQ people, define minority stress and understand how multiple stigmatized identities affect an LGBTQ individual's overall health and well-being, explore special considerations for queer and trans youth and elders, and recommend five essential qualities of LGBTQ culturally competent practitioners.
