Patients with Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) and tracheostomy are a widely heterogeneous and complex group of patients who are at risk for infection, medical complications, and dysphagia. This course examines the mechanisms of swallow dysfunction in patients with ARDS and tracheostomy and explores the impact of dysphagia on disease management, weaning, and decannulation, and respiratory function.
