Maintaining normothermia provides better patient outcomes. However, hypothermia is a patient issue that nurses often face. Certain patient populations are at higher risk for unplanned hypothermia, leading to adverse outcomes. The goal of this course is to train nurses in acute care how to identify, address, and intervene in hypothermia cases.
