Fibromyalgia: Causes and Treatment Options
Tracking # 20-861665
Course overview
Fibromyalgia is a chronic and potentially debilitating disorder that causes musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, and sleep disturbances. It is not an autoimmune, inflammatory, muscle, or joint disorder. Fibromyalgia is the second most common condition seen by rheumatologists. Fibromyalgia has no clearly defined cause, diagnostic test, or cure. Despite the chronic and complex course of fibromyalgia, pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments can help decrease symptoms and disability. Fibromyalgia symptoms can improve with education, exercise, cognitive therapy, and medications.
