Guillain-Barr Syndrome: Management and Treatment for Therapists

Course overview
Guillain-Barré syndrome is an acute demyelinating polyneuropathy that produces flaccid weakness associated with diminished deep tendon reflexes, sensory impairment in a stocking and glove distribution, and autonomic dysfunction. Rehabilitation specialists are essential in the treatment of patients with Guillain-Barré to decrease the functional limitations associated with this disease process. The goal of this educational program is to provide physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists with an evidence-based review of the medical and therapeutic management of Guillain-Barré syndrome.
