Podcast: Recognizing Implicit Bias: A Guide for Rehabilitation Professionals
Tracking # 20-864287
Course overview
It is critical for all healthcare professionals to recognize their own implicit biases. Once recognized, then you are able to manage your implicit biases to deliver equitable, person-centered care. This course will assist physical, occupational, and speech-language pathology professionals in understanding what implicit biases are, why we all have them, and how, by recognizing your own biases, you can better engage and treat patients who look and act different from you. Best practices in how to manage bias and address implicit biases in academia and clinical settings are discussed.
