Advanced NSCLC Molecular Tumor Board Simulation

Course overview
This CME/CMLE-accredited 1-hour tumor board simulation is designed to help pathologists, laboratory professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary cancer care team gain deeper scientific knowledge and skills in diagnosing, testing, and managing advanced non-small cell lung cancer (aNSCLC). Throughout the highly interactive tumor board simulation, a multidisciplinary faculty panel will discuss multiple patient cases involving aNSCLC, and you will answer questions designed to help you carefully consider the nuances of each case, building your knowledge and skills related to the detection and optimal management of aNSCLC. The tumor board simulation will address the following concepts in the selected patient cases: Key actionable driver mutations (eg, biomarkers such as EGFR, ALK, ROS1, BRAF) in patients with aNSCLC; Effective, comprehensive testing algorithms for patients with aNSCLC that incorporate the key driver mutations and PD-L1; Current and emerging therapies for patients with aNSCLC; and The importance of effective communication and a team-based approach in the diagnosis and management of aNSCLC. Learning Objectives - upon completion of this activity, you should be able to: Develop and apply effective testing algorithms for patients with aNSCLC to ensure they are appropriately testing for key actionable driver mutations (eg, EGFR, ALK, ROS1, BRAF) alongside PD-L1 testing; Discuss current and emerging treatment options for aNSCLC and their mechanisms of action; and Guide medical oncologists and other members of the interdisciplinary cancer care team on the diagnosis, testing, and management of patients with aNSCLC.
