Course overview

After reviewing pain and pain control definitions, along with commonly used analgesia drugs in emergency and critical care settings, this course examines pain control scoring systems as well as the consequences of untreated pain. It looks at the effect of patient comfort and stress levels on pain perception. Lastly it reviews non-pharmacologic measures to help with pain control.
