This 3-hour course addresses basic information in Part 1 of the Baker Act pertaining to adults age 18 years and older, including: who can receive services in a Baker Act facility; how the Baker Act can be initiated; EMTALA; ; court-involved and non-court involved admissions; transportation; voluntary and involuntary treatment; In-patient and out-patient treatment; and discharge planning.
